Our Conveyancing Services
At Garner Canning we know that the conveyancing process can be a daunting one and that it is not always easy for those buying and selling to understand what is needed and why.
For that reason, we want to be able to do everything to help make moving to a new house or dealing with your property sale, remortgage or transfer as easy as possible.
With five offices across Birmingham, North Warwickshire and Staffordshire we can offer you a fast, effective and economical service providing you with complete transparency over all costs, including Stamp Duty Land Tax and Land Registry fees.
Garner Canning provide a range of services for individuals and companies buying, selling, re-mortgaging or carrying out a transfer of equity of a residential property.
In this section we provide the typical range of prices for our services and details of what is included in the service. We have separated the information according to the type of transaction.
To find out a bit more about what is involved in a property transaction, please use the links to the left.
There are two separate parts to the costs we charge – our fees for the work we do and the payments we need to make to others on your behalf in order to deal with the transaction for you. Use the 'Our charges' link to the left to see more information about this.
How long will it take?
Our aim is to ensure that your property transaction takes no longer than necessary although sometimes the length of time will depend upon factors outside of your or our control.
On average a transaction will take between 8-12 weeks. If it is a simple transaction without a long chain of related transactions then it might be quicker but if there are lots of parties involved and a long chain of transactions, it might take longer.
The length of time the transaction takes, and the complexity of the negotiations may also be reflected in the price that we need to charge – especially if substantial negotiations are involved. Be assured that we will always keep you fully up-to-date with the likely time-scale and costs.
