Terry began his career in advertising and became a studio manager in 1989 at a successful advertising agency in Birmingham. He decided to pursue a career in law and obtained a 2:1 Honours Degree in Law from Staffordshire University in 1994. He also achieved a Public Law Prize during the second year of his degree. Following his law degree, Terry completed his Legal Practice Course at Birmingham University.
Terry joined Garner Canning in 1995 and qualified as a solicitor in September 1997. He has been a partner of the firm for 7 years. Terry is the partner in charge of property at Garner Canning and is responsible for a large number of solicitors and conveyancers who deal with a variety of property work. In addition to his responsibilities as a partner, Terry specialises in domestic and commercial property work which includes acquisitions and sales of development sites, landlord and tenant matters and secured lending. He also deals with company and business matters and specialises in the sale and purchase of businesses including asset sale agreements.
Terry has a very loyal client base who appreciate his 'no-nonsense' approach to achieving deadlines and meeting clients' expectations. He prides himself upon his friendly but effective business approach which means that he has generated many contacts within the West Midlands area. He is always available to discuss new or existing matters however straightforward or complex they may be and his clients benefit from his willingness to work 'out-of-hours' to complete their work.
