Rachel Taylor

Rachel obtained a BA Honours in Social Policy and Health Service Administration from Leeds University and went on to be Vice President of the National Union of Students in 1990.

 

Following a successful career in the voluntary sector working for a number of national charities, including the Citizens Advice Bureau, Rachel returned to University to study law and gained a Distinction in both the Postgraduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Birmingham.

 

In her spare time she officiated as a professional tennis umpire at three Wimbledon finals and the French Open.

 

Following a training contract at Garner Canning, Rachel qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and has concentrated on  property law. She specialises in all areas of Commercial Property, including site acquisition and assembly, property development, commercial and residential Landlord and Tenant matters and the sale and purchase of businesses, especially in the licensed pub, restaurant and hotel sector.

 

Rachel understands the commercial reality of her clients' businesses and the need to work to tight timescales, providing an efficient and cost effective service for all commercial clients but without missing the important details or the friendly touch.
