Emma trained at Garner Canning and qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and has gained a wealth of experience working in our Family Law department for over 20 years. Appointed as a Director in 2004 and subsequently Head of the Family Law Department.
As an accredited member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel and a member of Resolution (previously the Family Law Association) Emma is committed to dealing with family law matters in a non - confrontational manner, yet she strives to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients. Emma achieves a high level of client satisfaction and has built a reputation for being extremely approachable, honest and a fair yet firm and determined negotiator.
Emma can advise and represent clients in relation to any financial issues associated with a relationship breakdown such as the division of property, savings and pensions or for those client’s that are entering into a relationship Emma can advise on the merits of entering into a cohabitation or pre-nuptial agreement.
As a mother of two children, Emma knows the importance of putting the children’s needs and interests first and she has years of experience advising mothers, fathers and grandparents on Children matters arising from family separation, in particular issues concerning where a child will live and ensuring, wherever possible, that the child can see the other parent or family member on a regular basis.
Emma is based at our Atherstone office and is available to travel to any of our other offices to meet with clients.
