David Lewis

David obtained a Law Degree from Manchester University in 1972.

He qualified in 1975 as a Solicitor, after passing the Law Society Exams and being articled with Wallace Robinson & Morgan in Birmingham City Centre.

In 1975 he joined Sale Hill & Davenport in Atherstone, becoming a Partner in 1977. On the merger in 2003 of Sale Hill & Davenport with Garner Canning & Co., he became a Partner in Garner Canning Sale Hill.

During his time in Atherstone since 1975, he has dealt with a wide range of non-contentious work including conveyancing, though in recent years he has specialised in Wills, Trusts and Administration of Estates. He is a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and a Member of the Law Society Probate Section.

Whilst new clients are always welcome, many of his clients are longstanding or relatives of longstanding clients. New clients frequently instruct David as a result of a personal recommendation. He deals with clients in a sympathetic, but efficient manner, that enables trust and confidence to be built.

Apart from being involved in life in Atherstone and its surrounding area as a result of currently being its longest practising Solicitor, David has also been a member of Atherstone Rotary Club since 1980. Within Atherstone Rotary Club he has held various positions, including President, Secretary and Treasurer.
